꽃

Saturday afternoon shoot with layers of clothing on + coffee + a pink octopus.

Shout-out to a new friend who taught me to get out of my comfort zone (and try to sport some florals) and to my sister who does amazing makeup. <3

bulgogian art #1 (07.21)

Hooray! It's Thursday morning, which means the weekend's only two days away. I'm currently juggling many very different things at the moment, one of which is this-- watercolor! I can't seem to stop painting these sushi rolls though. What could this mean? Should I go get some sushi now? Hahaha! Anyway, have a lovely day, bulgogi-lovers. <3

big eyes

A friend once told me that I should invest (more) on basic clothing. Since then, every time I visited a store/the mall, I would find myself really frustrated and desperately looking for a few everyday pieces that would suit my fancy. However, over the months I finally understood that basic wear and I would never ever marry. In other words, the hunt for these so-called closet necessities is finally over. (At least, maybe, for a few more years or so!) If you've seen what's inside my closet, you'd know that I only own a few basic shirts, maybe two pairs of pants, and one plain rain jacket. If you have seen my closet, you'd also know that most of my garments are anything but simple and laid-back. I guess that was just never my style. Proof: When I was in college I was often teased about how I would wear a cape top at a seminar (it wasn't inappropriate but it sure was a head-turner) and how I would pick an off-the-shoulder top with crochet details and asymmetrical shorts for a video that was supposedly set at home. My other friends made it a point to let me know that my way of dressing is a bit unconventional-- for a Filipina in my hometown anyway. I've seen other bloggers and fashion enthusiasts who are way bolder than I am in terms of style, which is probably why I became braver. I now always opt for key pieces that are unique and know how to make a statement, and I no longer get embarrassed about it. I kinda was when I was still in school, but I guess I've made peace with it now. The bottom line here is that, everyone should be who they are, dress however they want to, and embrace their own kind of style. ^^

positivity

Five days ago, Sir Choi Alcabasa (a photographer based in Laguna, Philippines), and I decided to meet up for a shoot. I've been a fan of his work from the moment I laid my eyes on his beautiful portraits/wedding photographs just a couple of months ago, which is why I am very excited to share with you all, a few shots from the collaboration.

Thank you Sir Choi for this shoot, for that one day worth of conversations and lessons on photography (and morality), and for the pizza Glydel and I finished like men. It was so much fun and it was such an honor to work with such an amazing and talented photographer such as yourself. :)

(I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank every single person that reads my posts, takes photos of/for me, compliments my photos (or my outfits haha), posts the nicest comments on Instagram or on Facebook, & just believes in me and in this little blog. YOU RULE! :D Sending all my love (and virtual kisses and hugs)

Café Situation

So here's a shoot Charlie and I did a few weeks back which I am still very happy about~ I've always wanted to do one in a pretty café and this VCB branch we shot at was beautiful beyond words! It's like a dollhouse inside and out, and I'm in love with the idea. Can't wait to dine there again and of course, take pictures. 💕
